About

Liam began his professional career in 2000 with Parramatta Power in the National Soccer League (NSL). When the A-League launched in 2005, he signed with Newcastle Jets and went on to play for multiple A-League clubs including Brisbane Roar, Wellington Phoenix, Sydney FC, Central Coast Mariners, Western Sydney Wanderers, and Perth Glory. With over 450 professional appearances, Liam earned a reputation as a penalty-saving expert and a consistent shot-stopper. He retired from professional football in 2023 after 24 years at the top level and now serves as the Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach for the Australia U20 (Young Socceroos) team.
